Credit Card Debt Relief Advice:
How does it work?
When we begin to
consider credit card debt relief advice we think of ways and means of
improving our standard of living. Total United Kingdom personal debt
liability as of December 2008 was an amazing £1,457bn. That has
dropped to 3.6 per cent in the last 12 months which equates to an increase
of about £50 billion. Total lending in december 2008 increased
by £2.2bn; homeowner loans increased by nearly two billion pounds
that same month; consumer credit borrowing grew by £0.3 billion
during that month as well. Average household debt in the UK is thought
to be about £59,700 (includes secured loans). The average owed
by every British adult is about £30,400 (including secured loans).
The average secured loan for some 12m households who have oustanding
mortgages currently is in the region of £104,223.
But it has not only
been people like you and me who have had to bear this recession. Company
insolvencies has risen vastly over the last few quarters and this accelerating
trend has been especially prevalent in the years culminating in the
recession. In the fourth quarter of 2008 3000 companies went into CVL
and this was a 62 percent increase on the same quarter in 2007. Companies
in the United Kingdom have rarely faced a more challenging business
climate. In the context of credit card debt relief advice this situation
poses a real test to all of us.
