Over
the past couple of years or so, many thousands of people have taken
advantage of an amendment to the Consumer Credit Act which was made
in 2006. The amendment cleared the way for a legal challenge to be made
if the original credit agreement did not correspond with the new requirements
of the Act and any contracts that did not meet these requirements were
deemed to be unenforceable.
